Tonight we celebrated the finishing of reading the Book of Mormon as a family. We promised our kids that if we read the Book of Mormon, we would take them to Chuck E. Cheese. Unfortunately that was when Kaitlyn and Hollie were the age that the would actually be excited about that...yes, it has taken us about 5 years to finish the Book of Mormon!!!!
Luckily, life is a journey and not a race, because we would be in serious trouble! The girls did not want to go and gave me a little grief about it. I finally had to tell them to suck it up and think of Chasie and Maren who have never been to Chuck E Cheese. (I am sure glad that good parenting doesn't really have to do with how many visits to places like Disneyland and Chuck E Cheese-we would be in serious trouble there too)
So, for FHE that is where we went and Kaitlyn and Hollie were still whining and I told them to go help Maren and Chase have fun. So, they did and after we walked out with cheap tiaras, a whoppy cushion and pop rocks, everyone agreed it was a great time! Steve and I especially had a good time because the older girls were with the younger kids and McKay had a great time playing some submarine video game and Steve and I got to sit there and talk...hold a coversation and occasionally hands-yes, a great time had by all!

Congrats Hammarstrom family!!! :D Glad that your FHE was a success. Tell Katie and Hollie that they are crazy--Chuck E. Cheese is hecka fun!!!
Chuck E Cheese kinda makes me nauseous...I totally understand where K and H are coming from. So glad to hear they had fun in the end at least. Next time you finish the book of mormon you should take them to the mall...but by that time Chasie will be on his mission so you and Steve can go wherever you want!
